THE STORY OF MY BLOG
'Socho ab tak kya mila hai itna kuch sochkar, aaj kuch na sochne ki baat ko bhi thoda hum soch lein..'
I know that this has literally ZERO reference with today's topic, but I just wanted to mention it to give an aesthetic look, lol.
Yep, it's me in the above image. But, 10 years ago! Since then, good photos started vanishing from my life.. It was clicked on the day of diwali. I miss those good times, when I was able to have this WIDE SMILE, without any single thought going on in my mind! No, I'm not Vijay Mallya that I have to repay Rs 5,000 crores, but still..
Let's start today's post with some old memories. Remember those days in your childhood when bringing a packet of chips to school was equivalent to bringing some treasure? When a trip to ice cream wale bhaiya, us standing on their cycle and taking hours to choose our favourite ice cream, was sheer JOY! When papa used to call from work and say "be ready, we'll go out today". Man, it was next level happiness!
Did you also feel that strange wave of exuberance, satisfaction? That's how I feel every time I write something. It makes me feel absolutely ecstatic! I just can't put it in words. I mean, the way your taste buds relish in joy as soon as you take the first bite of a 'rasmalai' in utterly hot summer.. The very same way my heart feels when I write something.
Okay ridhimaa! We get it, that you love writing! Now what? Please stop boasting now!
Haha! I won't show off anymore. But, I feel quite fortunate to have found my 'niche'. This came after a lot of introspection and of course, many mistakes! Why don't I tell it to you through a timeline?
2009- I was in primary school when my teacher asked me whether I can learn a story in the next 5 mins and then recite it as well, for a story telling competition.. I have no clue why I said yes to thatπ ! And, I did not win( I ain't Elon musk, people!) But, that definitely inculcated a liking for literature in me.
2011-12ish- My mother came up with the idea of 'creative Saturdays' wherein I used to write on any topic in the world! I credit my mother for my English skills till date! And yes, creative Saturdays continued till 2018π !
25th January, 2016- I did a role play on Malala Yousafzai in my school. IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL. IN FRONT OF AT LEAST 1000 WEIRD TEENAGERS WHO WERE MORE SELFISH THAN AMIT SHAH(No, I'm not from Pakistan)! But, I nailed it like a pro(show off alert)! Since then, there hasn't been any looking back.
3rd September, 2020- The day I'm writing this post. I feel proud of my progress as well as ashamed of my mistakes. But, chalti ka naam zindagi hai! I'm writing in hindi because I know that this blog won't become international even in my wildest dreams π ! Here's the present day me.
Many people have played a vital role in this journey. My parents, primarily. My friends (hey harshita and kriti- how was the surprise π) who constantly reminded me 'tu toh hai he mahaan yaar' (although in a taunt way)..
Wait a min. Did I win the Oscars? I'm acting like I have, ain't I?π Anyway, who doesn't keep their acceptance speech always ready?π
So, all in all, this blog that you're reading IS MY LIFE. It took me a lot of courage to take this step. Hopefully, it was the right decision..
Btw, the title of today's blog has been inspired copied from the famous UK band One direction's song 'the story of my life'. I've mentioned it myself so that nobody else notices it and then judges me(favourite job of some people). You know, I RULE MY FLAWS. And also, I copied this line from a 10 year old girl's Instagram caption π
.
I guess, this much information is sufficient for you to know about the story of my blog. Only this part would come in UPSC 2021π. Rest all is out of syllabus.
Remember always, that boredom is our greatest asset. All you need to do is go to the washroom, do your thing and GREAT IDEAS WILL COME TO YOU! (That's how THE BORING BLOG came into existenceπ)
Take care, everyone.
Until then, bye bye hoomans!
Haha, nice one!π
