SHE CHOSE US...

 Hello everyone! Ki haal chaal? 

I hope everything's good.

Kya chal raha hai aaj kal, phir? Kuch na kuch toh chal he raha hoga.. You see, gossip is to the soul, what rabri is to jalebi. Coz uske bina kaam toh chal jayega, but rabri(gossip) se he toh MAZZA aata hai yaar! Some of you must be going through a breakup, or maybe 'planning' someone else's breakup. Some of you must be worried to hell about career and constantly thinking "mera kya hoga life mein"? (I'm some of you..) While others must be watching netflix all day long, sleeping for 12 hours a day and procrastinating things like a boss(I'm this too😢).

But jo bhi ho raha ho, koi agar phone pe pooche ki 'kya chal raha hai aaj kal?', toh koi story toh sabke paas hoti hai. "Arey aaj pata hai kya hua?"

So, I too have a story to tell. Something that hapened with me recently.. And by far the only happy thing in the last 1 year or so.

First, a little flashback. Baat hai November 2020 ki. My parents were newly struck with the 'health ka keeda', wherein they decided to go for a post-dinner walk everyday. They just went for a round outside our apartment. I knew then only ki 2 din ka shauk hai. After all, parents kiske hain? A few days passed, and my mom told me that they've befriended a dog outside the society! I was quite bewildered, given the fact that my mom and dogs were like Narendra Modi and Ravish Kumar,i.e, never to be seen together! I thought ki iss dog se toh milna padega.. And when I saw her for the first time, I immediately fell in love! I had never seen a more innocent and cute dog! 

We initially thought her to be a male and named her Enzo(yes from the movie) , but later found out that she's a female, so changed her name to Angelina😅. (There's a Brad Pitt too in our society, lol)

Anyway, we gave her food whenever we could, no matter how busy we were. Even during the second lockdown, we went out of the house only for her. From paneer to eggs to milk and bread, she ate eerything with such eagerness and gratitude reflected in her eyes.

This carried on until about a month ago, when due to some reason we could not go feed her for at least a week. After a few days, when me and my dad went, Angelina was nowhere to be found. We looked a lot, but could not find her. We searched for 10 days or so, but none to our help. At last, we presumed that she must have changed her territory, which is quite common for street dogs. 

And then, a normal Sunday evening, me and my parents were going out for dinner. As soon as we stepped out of the building, a dog saw me( along with the mask, I must tell you) and just jumped on me!! IT WAS HER!!! ANGELINA! Believe me, it was nothing less than a Karan Johar movie type reunion! Society guard told us that at first she used to anxiously roam outside the society and after a few days, entered the society, and hasn't left since. Bhayi maano ya maano, she came inside the society looking for us.

Not only this, a few days back, my parents were at the terrace(I live at the top floor) and she came till there!! Only God knows how??! Now, everyday at sharp 8 pm, when my father comes home, she'll come along with him, have dinner, get some cuddling done from me, and leaves peacefully. 

Before now, I had always heard this, but now I believe it to be more than ever, that DOGS CHOOSE THEIR HUMAN. I still can't digest the fact that we started off as just a normal parle g biscuit, and today she's become a family member. And given the last few months which have been difficult for everyone, I've realized that God has a different way of providing you solace.

"The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as dogs".
