THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN
'To live every day as if it had been stolen from death, that is how I would like to live." - ENZO
You must be curious about the title of today's blog, right? I too was. But then I realized that life is nothing but a race course. And we all, are drivers. The race is of course long- but to finish first, first you must finish.
No no no, I wasn't bit by a 'wisdom bug' suddenly. I'm not Robin Sharma, and won't talk about 'that monk who sold his ferrari'! All this gyaan is coming from a recent (and the BEST) movie that I saw. It's called THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN. Honestly, today my words feel incomplete. I cannot even begin to describe the exuberance you'll feel while watching that movie. It just hits the right spot at the right time! I so badly wish that I could somehow explain you how it felt. I'll give it a try.
It has Enzo as its narrator. Well, Enzo is a dog. A golden retriever, to be more precise. His owner- Denny, is a racecar driver. So, Enzo compares this whole lifespan to a race. And of course, we all have our days of 'rain', don't we? When faced with it, the poor driver crashes, the average driver quits. But, the great drivers drive through it. Not only that, according to Enzo, there is no dishonor in losing the race. There is only dishonor in not racing because you are too afraid to lose. It felt like 'life summed up in 139 minutes'!
Enzo is a character which shall be with me for the rest of my life now. He taught me things that no one taught before or ever could. And, of course the credit goes to his creator- Garth Stein. Thank you sir for sharing Enzo with the world. I love him(slightly more than ShinChan). Just a tiny bit.
We all are competing against each other in here. Who'll make the most money the fastest? Well, time for a dialogue now. "No race has ever been won in the first corner, many have been lost there". I must confess that I added this topic deliberately, just so that I can write this dialogue😁. Hollywood ki kitni bhi movies dekhlein, rahenge toh hum SRK ke fan he!😍
That's all about this movie. I would recommend it to you, but it might just be another 'dog-movie' for you. It's all about the perspective. But, there's no harm in giving it a try.
Also, I'm sorry for writing a blog after this long. My exams are coming up, that's why I had to prepare. If you remember, bachpan mein woh 'ninja hattori' aata tha na? He used to do literally everything just by doing 'ding ding ding ding'. I wish I could study by doing ding ding ding😂
Anyways, here's one last quote from Enzo baba.
"The true hero is flawed. The true test of a champion is not whether he can triumph, but whether he can overcome obstacles- preferably of his own making- in order to triumph".
So, until then, keep racing!
I'll try to write soon. (Haan, jaise mere blog ka analysis likhti hai new york times😴)
Thoda share he kardia karo besharmo!
THE LAST TWO LINES😍😂😂
